Jason And The Argonauts Thursday October 15th, 2009 at 10am and 12:30pm Grades 1 through 8, One Hour In Length O.K., so the two actors, Simon Donaldson and Tim Settle of the Glasgow company Visible Fictions, have a little help from their friends, mainly an assortment of toy action figures, including Spider-Man. Their sly, silly, sophisticated and altogether winning take on an ancient Greek myth is sprinkled with latter-day references that range from “Star Wars” and “Back to the Future” to Barbie, Leonardo DiCaprio in “Titanic” and, of course, the 1963 film “Jason and the Argonauts,” with its remarkable special effects by Ray Harryhausen. Rick Charette & His Bubblegum Band Wednesday November 18, 2009 at 10am and 12:30pm Grades 1 through 4, One Hour In Length Returning to the youth series Rick Charette and the Bubblegum band are one of the Civic Center’s favorite musical acts. Rick has released ten albums, two children's picture books and two live concert videos, which are distributed nationally and have sold over a quarter million copies to date. His 10th album “King Kong Chair” (his newest collection of original songs!) was released in March 2004. His best known songs include Songs include: Yellow Bus, I Love Mud, Humunukuapuahah and Lincoln the Lobster.

Runt Of The Litter Wednesday April 7, 2010 at 10am and 12:30pm Grades 1 through 8, One Hour In Length Written and performed by Bo Eason and directed by Larry Moss, RUNT OF THE LITTER opens in the final hour of Jack Henry's lifelong dream, only one thing stands in his way -- his brother. The play looks at what happens to two brothers in a family of over-achievers: when their parents assure their oldest son he is destined for football superstardom, and tell their youngest son he is too small to compete, a line in the family sand is drawn that colors the rest of their lives. Runt of the Litter is, in fact, a semiautobiographical account of Bo Eason's life and career as a defensive back for the Houston Oilers in the 1980s, where he played safety. His determination and killer instincts on the playing field remain the stuff of legend. His brother, Tony Eason was the quarterback who led the New England Patriots to the Super Bowl in 1986.
